#DIY Fabric Chickens

ch7

I am really having this unhealthy obsession with chicken ^_^. They are just so adorable that I can’t stop myself from creating them in any means possible, be it cardboard, paper, felt, fabric etc. For this matter, I just stitched my fabric chicken. Here’s the quick steps:

1. Drew a pattern

2. Cut and traced on the chosen fabric(part by part; there were 6 plus the body and each should be in two pieces)

3. Stitched and put them together

4. Left a small opening for the stuffing

5. Stuffed(I used rice for the door stopper and cotton for the other one)

6. Closed the opening

7. PRESTO!

I had this one sat in a small basket. Put some heart accent with a “WELCOME” written on a paper on it.

See. She will sit by the door :).

This is the other one stuffed with cotton.

She sits in a basket as well ^_^.

#Paper Mache chickens

10985662_10206104250341255_3333315315078078039_n

Recently, I posted about my first paper mache creation(hen), which I named, Kokok. From then on, I began to use papers in my crafting activities. look at this. Another good example of making use of paper instead of fabric or felt(an excuse because I don’t get time to grab fabrics and sew). Those chickens on the screen are so adorable that I really wanted to make my version, but since I don’t get time to sit and sew, I made a paper mache version. SEE!

They are almost the same as the ones made of fabric, right?

Soooo cutipiiiieee they are!

I made an addition to those cutie ones- a mother hen, turned into a flower vase. Initially, I wanted this to be an egg tray but I realized the color won’t match the stand that I made for it to seat on(I will show you later sweeties). So, I finally decided to stuff it with flowers ^_^. Bright idea, right?

On how I made them, refer to this link as what I did myself.

Goodluck sweeties!

Rushed #DIY Valentine’s card for a friend

Yesterday, I needed to make this because the person whom I gave this gave me a present. She has everything that I can think of. So to make it special, I thought of making this. it was a rush because I really didn’t get a time except yesterday itself :P.

It looks like a pot of flowers but once you pull that bunch of flowers up a frog will come out! Behind it is a message written.

How to:

1. Cut flowers from papers of your color choice then paste them on a cardboard

2. Draw and cut a frog image or maybe any animal that you want. Don’t forget the eyes

3. Paste the frog just below the flowers on the cardboard, cut.

4. Get another cardboard and fold it into two parts(since I was really on a rush, I just staple the ends to close the openings and just left the area where I insert the frog open otherwise, I should have closed the two openings on both sides with a washi tape)which will turn out like an envelope.

5. Make a cut out of a pot then paste it infront of the folded cardboard. You can put a design of your choice. I also made an accent through a butterfly which is stuck on a laundry clip 🙂

6. You can now insert the cutie green frog

7. FINISHED!

Lady Me :)

\

I am a jeans- shirt type. I barely wear skirt or anything which is more feminine.

Two months back, I went to India and I was forced to wear this Maxi made of silk(I like the polka-dots print). Originally, it is sleeveless but since I was in a conservative environment, I needed to be apt so, I wore a lace-type top as an inlet. I have a spine problem that’s why I just occassionaly wear shoes with high heels but over here since the dress is long I needed to wear a pair of wedges which is really high. As a precaution, I brought a pair of slippers, lol!

By the way, I attended a dear friend’s wedding here. 🙂

How do you like my style? I hope atleast you find me ok :). Have a good day sweeties!
